DVD Synopsis and information:
Big Red is a wonderful family film by Disney that shares a beautiful story about an orphaned boy Rene Dumont, played by Gilles Payant, that is hired by James Haggin played by Walter Pidgeon, to train his Irish setter. Big Red DVD is a fantastic example of old school Disney at its finest bringing the most poignant story that is overflowing with friendship, courage and family adventure.
An orphan boy named Rene has to learn about commitment, great responsibility and ultimately, friendship when he is hired by a seemingly heartless, affluent sportsman to train his prized Irish setter, Big Red. Soon, Rene and Big Red become completely inseparable, which is very much to the owner's disappointment. As a consequence Rene is terminated from his position but the bonds of deep friendship between a boy and a dog are put to the test when the Irish setter Big Red escapes and all hope indeed seems to be lost of finding Big Red. No bond has ever been put to such a test between man, boy, and dog that brings all of them into a fantastic and potentially perilous adventures that charts a new course for an epic struggle with an dangerous and surprising foe.
Disney's Big Red 1962 DVD is an adventure like none other. Big Red DVD brings drama and the utmost warmth and sentiment that only 1960s Disney can muster with the terrific quality of this family movie that will no doubt forever touch your heart of both young and old.
