Most people used to laugh at the strange and eccentric Eric Binford. Now, with each and every performance Eric literally knocks them dead. Eric Binford, played masterfully by Dennis Christopher, is very shy and lonely. Eric delivers film cassettes and other film related material supplies in LA for a living. But Eric Binford really lives only to see movies and imagine himself being in them and actually playing the roles he sees on screen Eric has continual fantasies about movie characters and stars. Eric is also Frequently bullied by the guys and is often betrayed by most people. Eric soothes his real world life by taking on of the many rough and tumble heroes or villains who has captivated him from the silver screen over the years.
When a string of awful things begin to happen these incidents begin to loosen Eric's already weak hold on reality. The events send Eric into a murderous rampage. Eric initiates a series of horrific and brutal murders that each mimic characters and incidents from his favorite films. Eric Binford is now known as the Celluloid Killer and one of the most terrifying serial murderers LA has ever seen. Fade To Black DVD remains a very slick and cool 80s thriller. Dennis Christopher gives a fascinating performance in Fade To Black DVD.
Fade To Black DVD is not your run of the mill slasher flick. Fade To Black DVD is a sophisticated character study into a young man with an oppressive mother and who is bullied by others; then how madness and revenge can manifest within a person.
