The Karen Carpenter Story DVD For Sale 1989 Cynthia Gibb TV Movie
DVD Synopsis and information:
The Fascinating Made For TV Drama of meteoric rise then tragic and sudden fall of early 70s pop icon Karen Carpenter. This Made For TV Biopic tells the story of The Carpenters rise to fame and how Karen came to battle and eventually succumb to the brutal eating disorder bulimia. This is such a sad story of one of the best female alto voices in American pop history. With multiple smash hits and numerous Christmas song classics to their credit The Carpenters were an absolute household name in the 70s. Fans of The carpenters will love this film. Karen left the world some wonderful music to cherish forever. The Karen Carpenter Story DVD 1989 is somber in the end but it teaches us all to live for today because tomorrow may never come.

What a tragic end to such a burgeoning pop star. After the death of Karen Carpenter in 1983 her story shocked the nation and brought the eating disorder bulimia to the forefront of discussion and recognition. Hearing all those great Carpenters' songs again is simply terrific. This is an interesting exploration into Karen Carpenter as a person and a pop icon.
