Shadow On The Land DVD 1968: Gene Hackman

DVD Synopsis and information:
In this futuristic film about a totalitarian government takeover in the USA. Newly formed militia / freedom fighters begin to do battle against Nazism, which has developed in the US rather than 1930's Germany. This is a fascinating look at an alternate American history, with scary and interesting social implications. This is an amazing ABC Made for TV movie that originally aired in 1968 about an alternative government coup de tat. Gene Hackman and Marc Strange star in this great adaptation and loose interpretation of Sinclair Lewis' 1936 novel and stage play It Can't Happen Here. This is an excellent made for TV movie dealing with a highly volatile subject.

Shadow On The Land DVD is a great made for TV movie in the vain of George Orwell's 1984. Shadow On The Land 1968 DVD remains a terrific and haunting TV movie about a takeover of our government and democracy at risk. Shadow On The Land offers a fascinating look at an authoritarian coup de tat style thriller.
