DVD Synopsis and information:
Sam
Elliott gives a stellar performance as the Lifeguard - Rick Carlson.
Rick is in his mid 30s and he is now grappling with what to do in his
life. Rick is preparing for another busy and sunny summer on a stretch
of gorgeous southern California beach with his youthful, rookie partner
played very well by Parker Stevenson (The Hardy Boys). The performances
are very solid throughout by the main and supporting cast members. Sam
Elliot really shines as the leading man in this film. This is one of
Elliot's early leading performances and it's easy to see why he was
chose of this tailor made part.
The now aging Rick is forced to
examine his current life and career choice after he attends his high
school reunion. This is a terrific little film from the mid 70s. Anne
Archer his former sweetheart and a young and super cute Kathleen
Quinlan, as an infatuated teenager, also star in this interesting
character study set amidst the sun, surf and sand of a very memorable
California summer. Elliot is super cool in this role, a ladies man to
the max.
Lifeguard 1976 DVD is a terrific 70s movies and a great period film for 70s beach time gone by. Sam Elliot gives a solid leading man role performance early in his career in Lifeguard DVD.
