The Two Deedles brothers may not be the sharpest knife in the drawer but they are good for some serious laughs when they try to stop an out of control and former park ranger from foiling a very important and old birthday celebration for none other than Old Faithful in Yellowstone National Park. The two Deedle twins are supposed to be sent to a military summer camp to shore up their discipline, instead the goofy brothers travel on their own to Yellowstone National Park where they're mistaken for junior park rangers.

Mo, the park's newest ranger trainees.
Mel and Mo were hired because of their expertise with rodent populations, because Yellowstone has a bad prairie dog issue. This was caused by park's former head ranger Frank Slater, who was fired after an incident several years ago and is now out for vengeance against Yellowstone. Slater has a couple of bumbling idiot associates, Crabbe and Nemo who try to aid him in his quest to screw up Yellowstone on a grand scale. Stew and Phil do not even bother to correct Captain Pine, the current park ranger, when he fully believes the Deedles are who their uniforms state.
Stew and Phil see a golden opportunity to please their dad and allows them have a a few laughs along the way. Meanwhile the real Mel and Mo are, of course, otherwise occupied trying to figure out just what happened to them. The big Yellowstone birthday coming up, which Slater is determined to sabotage.
