What, by chance, does it take to trust another person. Melanie Hudson, played by the sexy Joan Severance, is a tough and hot LA cop. She is also a
loner on the trail of a brutal serial killer who slices the throats of gorgeous women right after he has sex with them. Mel is quite independent and very curious. Late nights she drives the streets, looking for bad people. Her partner on the force is her
ex-lover, Nathan, played by Tony Denison, who still loves and wants Mel. Their best suspect is Connor
Ashcroft, the egotistical playboy son of a powerful United States Senator.
After they begin to investigate
Connor he is not at all concerned and he then approaces Melanie sexually. The two cops question Connor's former women and his family psychiatrist. All the evidence collected thus far indicates that Connor is
innocent. Melanie then takes the clever playboy up on his sensual invitation. Nathan becomes very jealous and he is concerned for Mel. Melanie has to trust one of them but who?
Criminal Passion DVD is a fascinating drama. Criminal Passion DVD has some solid performances by Joan Severance and Tony Denison. An excellent thriller from the mid 90s.
