Jon Aldrich (Tom Selleck) is a well healed Chicago broker and a caring husband who is suddenly forced to head off to Florida to help his father (Don Ameche) when his mother tales ill. When Jon's parents home burns down he has to take in his parents and then the real comedic journey begins for the audience. If you have or have had an elderly parent you can certainly relate to this movie. There are lots of funny and even some tender moments. The script is very well written.
There are some excellent special makeup effects in this film as well. After 20 years Folks still holds up well. Folks! is a movie that you will sure enjoy again and again. Folks! DVD 1992 is great comedic entertainment. This comedy has sweetness and sarcasm. Folks is a fun comedy that will also tug on your heart strings. Tom Selleck displays fantastic comedic timing throughout this film. Ameche is always great too. This is truly a zany comedy with a style all its own. Selleck is bewildered as to how to approach and begin to deal with his parents at this stage in their lives. The anamorphic widescreen DVD of Folks looks terrific.

A very clear picture and sound to compliment this funny and touching movie. Seamless drama and comedy blend well together, like a fine whiskey. Selleck really looks worn down by the end of the picture. Folks 1992 DVD continues to entertain fans and audiences. You will laugh out loud throughout the movie. The comedy and story hit home for many of us who have had to take care of our elders. Laughs are really bountiful but there are touching moments to enjoy as well. FBI surveillance and creepy family members are all part and parcel to this hazardous parent-sitting romp that now becomes his sole focus and his Folks DVD may just be the most dangerous thing Selleck has to face. A great comedy to enjoy again and again.

Don Ameche and Tom Selleck are simply terrific together in Folks DVD and exchange many wonderful comedic and dramatic nuances throughout the films. A great comedy from the early 90s not to be missed. This is a must own title for Folks Tom Selleck DVD and Don Ameche fans. A truly great 90s comedy to be enjoyed by all. A comedy for all families with a loved one that is getting on in years.
