The Last of the Dogmen 1995 DVD Synopsis and information:

This film revolves around two people and a mystery that has been hidden for over a century. Tom Berenger plays Lewis Gates, a bounty hunter that is haunted by his past. Gates is hired to track down several escaped prisoners in the Oxbow region of the Rocky Mountains. Gates then stumbles on to a secluded area and signs of a struggle but no bodies, only an unusual part of an arrow is left. Gates takes the broken arrow piece to a Native American cultural expert, Lillian Sloan, played wonderfully by Barbara Hershey. Together they begin a search that leads them to an impossible mystery; a tribe that everyone believed was extinct and could not have existed, as it was massacred over a century ago.

The narrative turns into a desperate race against time, as Gates and Sloan hurry to save the Last of the Dogmen tribe from the destructive forces of the modern world. One of Tom Berenger’s movies, this film is both a powerful drama and a terrific story. A movie that will leave you wanting to see it again as son as the credit roll.
